Car rental at Hewanorra International Airport
Hewanorra is where almost every international flight lands, and it sits at the southern tip of the island. If you are staying anywhere north of Soufriere you have a real drive ahead of you, which is exactly why picking up a car here rather than booking a transfer tends to be the better decision.
A taxi transfer from Hewanorra to the northern resorts is quoted between USD 50 and USD 100 each way, per trip. A week in an Economy car costs less than the return transfer and leaves you with a car for the rest of the stay.
